final textual analysis!! bit late sorry guys!!!

The final textual analysis is on the video "chase and status ft plan B- end credits"

This song is based on the film "Harry Brown", which is a British "gangsta" film. This involves an intertextuality as it links to the film and includes scenes of the film.

The genre of this video represents drum and bass music, and focuses on a lead male vocalist. It sees him walking through streets of london, focussing on the crime and violence.
The relationship between music and visuals - at the beginning you see him lying down on the floor, looking as if hes in pain..whilst you hear "when the blood drys in my veins" representing death. This video shows no instruments of any kind, as it is literally the lead singe and clips from the film "Harry Brown".
There are many close ups of the lead singer, who is also a main character in the film. It shows his clear facial expressions, mainly faces of anger with little emotion aswell as singing along to the lyrics.
The video tells a story, but i don't think its narrative based as it follows the typical conventions of having a lead singer.

Well, thats it for now folks...hope this makes sense! And i would reccomend the film to anybody :)

Lots of Love, Rache, Mike and Liv xxxx
